Adelaide Zoo

As you may be aware we had thought about getting family zoo membership for Christmas. We would like to thank all those that gave our children money towards it as part of their christmas present.

We went to the zoo on 2nd January and took Tamera with us. We had a fun time there.
There are some photos we took on the day.

The Adelaide zoo recently had added two giant pandas thanks to an aggreement between the Chinese government and the Australian government. They are here for 10 years and are part of the breeding program at the zoo. We were luck enough to see them as you have to book in to have a look until the hype dies down.

I don't want to eat that

I love my garden more and more each day especially now that all my plans and hard work over the years is starting to pay off. My trees are growing and giving fruit, Anabelle called the apricot tree the "nana" tree (now all fruit is a nana) and would cry at the front door for someone to go out and pick her an apricot straight off the tree. I had been planning to make some jam but i don't think that will happen for many years. The kids just loved the fruit and ate it all.

Now the soil is healthy and the veggies are growing. My watering system has made a big difference too. The tomato plants have grow higher than the fence and the squash has regenerated.

What a bountiest harvest we have had from our garden, I hope to get some pictures of the garden soon.

But the big problem FOR the kids is that they don't like the food we have grown. So what to do with all the food.
"If you don't want to eat the food then something needs to be done with it", so the kids decided to sell them. Check out the proof....
Here are all the kids waiting for passing customers.

If you look closely at Juliet, she has made a megaphone from an old milk bottle and is using it to announce the sale.

What wonderful children they are. I hope they make more than 5cents tomorrow (I had to buy some tomatoes to put in their dinner).

When dinner was served each child ended up with a tomato on there plate much to Rory's disgust. I noticed that Isiah who had the job of putting the tomatoes out found the smallest he could find.
