The CTR ring

A few weeks ago we had some missionaries over for dinner. For the message the children were all presented a CTR ring. They were asked to give it to a non member friend and tell them why it is important. They did some roll playing with the boys on how to do this. Juliet wasn't interested in joining in the roll play but did watch them. They all placed their ring where they would remember them. Later that week I found Juliet's ring and put it in my bag.

So what is so exciting about this CTR ring I placed in my bag.
Well, that Saturday Isiah had his last Futsal game. Juliet was playing with a friend, Lani, the younger sister of one of Isiah's friends. I happened to notice the ring in my bag. I asked Juliet who she had planned on giving the CTR ring to. She decided on Lani. I handed it to her and she went over to Lani. You may think this all went well, handing a ring over to a girl, but not so. She asked Lani if she wanted the ring. Lani said no , stood up and took off. Anyone that knows Juliet knows she isn't the sort to stop there. She stood up and chased Lani saying, "wait, but I need to tell you what it is about." I watched her run after her friend wishing I had a video camera to catch the event. I thought how blessed we could be if we showed that kind of persistence in missionary work. Damien and I were able to watch her sit down and tell her friend about it from a distance. When she came back I asked her what she said. She said, " it is from church it helps us be good." She also asked Lani to wear it to school so she could show others. We later saw Lani showing and telling her cousin about the CTR ring.

As for the boys and their rings. I'm still waiting for them to give them out.
